This is Miranda July.


July's most recent feature was just released here in the US. The film is called The Future. She pulled triple duty as the writer, director, and star of the film. Having seen her 2005 feature Me and You and Everyone We Know, I have high expectations. July's original characters, extremely honest dialogue, and originality, make her films stand out and resonate with viewers.

Lookout for the new documentary from filmmaker Wim Wenders called, Pina. The film is a 3-D documentary about German choreographer, Pina Bausch. Apparently it is quite the story and something worth watching.

This is a poster for Roman Polanski's upcoming feature, Carnage. Originally titled, The God of Carnage, the film tells the story of two couples who decide to meet after both their children get into a schoolyard fight.

Warrior, starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton. I’m not a fan of UFC, but I am a huge admirer of both lead actors and the director, Gavin O’Connor (Pride and Glory).
